A few words about Adaenugu,

The Founder

My name is Ada, and if there’s one thing I’ve learned over the years, it’s that food has the power to connect hearts, heal souls, and turn simple gatherings into unforgettable memories.

I started cooking in 1996, back home in Enugu, Nigeria — not as a business, but out of love. I was that person everyone called when there was a wedding, a baby dedication, a burial, or even just a get-together. People knew the food would be good, hot, and full of soul. What began in a small kitchen grew into a calling — and eventually, a business.

Coming from a culture where food is at the center of every celebration, I’ve always believed that preparing a meal is an act of love. It’s not just about taste — it’s about tradition, togetherness, and giving people a piece of home, no matter where they are.

Over the years, I’ve had the privilege of cooking for thousands — mothers, fathers, families, and friends — across countless events. I’ve watched people cry, laugh, and dance over a shared plate of jollof or a perfectly baked shepherd’s pie. And each time, I’m reminded why I do what I do.

” For me, cooking is not a profession. It’s a ministry of love — one plate at a time.. “
